The Chapter has arranged for a booth next to the East Stroudsburg DL&W Tower during the Festival. We will be able to promote the Troop Sleeper Restoration Project, recruit new Chapter members and sell RLHS publications. Tobyhanna DL&W Train Station, 1619 Church St., Tobyhanna, PA. We are arranging for a speaker to present a program about the station and the DL&W impact on the surrounding communities. We will also discuss setting up work groups for the Troop Sleeper project, the MEC #645 caboose and participating in promoting and representing the Chapter at historical events and shows. 4TH ANNUAL LOCAL HISTORY FAIR September 20, 2025, Saturday, 11:00 AM to 4 PM
This event will be held at the VIEWMONT MALL, DICKSON CITY, PA, with over 50 different groups participating and is sponsored by the Lackawanna Historical Society. The Chapter has arranged for a booth there to promote the Troop Sleeper Restoration Projection, recruit new members and sell RLHS publications. Steamtown Rail Fest August 29, 30 & 31, 2025
The Chapter will be manning an information and membership recruiting Booth. We are looking for several volunteers each day to help spread the word about the R&LHS and our Chapter. The National R&LHS is supplying recruiting materials. We have prepared some exhibits and pamphlets describing the Chapter as well as the WWII Troop Sleeper restoration project.
